Seeing the world of wonder and beauty through Impressionism
Brian Daniels is an impressionist painter from Eastern NC whose work captures the landscapes, working farms, and quiet rural moments that define the American South. Painting primarily in oil and acrylic, Daniels brings a luminous, light-driven sensibility to subjects that range from rolling farmland, mountain vistas, and sun-filled interiors to the shrimping docks and coastal harbors of the Eastern Seaboard.
For Daniels, painting is an act of devotion as much as craft. He sees in the natural world a direct reflection of it’s Creator, and in the act of putting brush to canvas finds himself, in some small way, bearing the image of the Creator - translated through light, color, and atmosphere.
His work has earned recognition in national juried exhibitions through two regional arts councils, and his paintings are represented in two galleries. An Associate member of the National Oil & Acrylic Painters Society (NOAPS), Daniels paints with a confidence and depth of feeling that reflects both a strong connection to place and a painter’s instinct for the way light transforms an ordinary moment into something worth preserving.
